Review: The Love Lula November Beauty Box

The November Love Lula beauty box has to be my favourite of the year. With 3 full sizes and 3 samples, not only is it a total bargain for the price, but it also contains brands I've either tried and loved, or ones I'm very interested in trying.

LAID BARE WORKING 9 TO 5 ANTI-AGEING CREAM

I had been eyeing up this very cream at Love Lula the week my box arrived. I'm very interested in Laid Bare products since I started using their DIY cleanser and their Spot the Difference.
I've been using an anti-ageing cream for many years but the thing that troubles me about them is they don't cater to specific skin types. Why doesn't anyone make anti-ageing creams for combo skin or dry skin? Why is it one size fits all? Anyway, I'm digressing.
This is a light, well absorbed cream that works well under make-up. I am perturbed at the inclusion of palm oil derivatives in Laid Bare's products, so I emailed them to ask if their palm oil was sustainably sourced, to which they answered yes.

REN PERFECT CANVAS SKIN PERFECTING SERUM

I looked forward to this sample as I enjoyed the previous REN BB cream in another box. REN do trouble me as they are owned by Unilever, who are number one on my 'devil' list. (Well, it's a tie between them and L'Oreal). Also, this serum contains phenoxyethanol which is on many clean beauty users' 'avoid' list. 

That said, I had a go of this and sadly, it didn't do anything for me. My skin felt nice and smooth, but it didn't mattify me at all or blur any imperfections.

MADARA ANTI-FATIGUE EYE CREAM

This was an exciting inclusion for me as I really enjoyed the Madara moisturiser from a previous box and have since repurchased that. I haven't had the opportunity to open this yet as I am testing another eye cream from Love Lula (see my November picks), but I'm very much looking forward to it.

INIKA ORGANIC VEGAN LIPSTICK IN NAKED KISS

Saving the best till last here. The only thing I can say about this lipstick is...wow! And, are Love Lula stalking my browsing history or what? Because not only had I been eyeing the Laid Bare, but I had been eyeing Inika lipsticks and not just that, but this is the exact shade I wear a lot of the time. This lipstick couldn't be any more perfect. It smells gorgeous, goes on like a dream, has good colour and lasts well. I have a couple of Inika products and will definitely be looking to expand my collection after using this. This is my new favourite lipstick.
