Review: M Botanicals Skincare

M Botanicals are a small, London based company making botanical skincare. They are cruelty free and some of their products are vegan. I tried two sample sizes of their Rejuvenating Facial Elixir and their Hydrating Beauty Balm.
The Rejuvenating Facial Elixir is a treatment oil made from prickly pear, blackseed oil, borage and rosehip, amongst other ingredients (including squalane, which is made from olives) and is suitable for vegans. The sample is well presented in a tiny glass dropper bottle (which gets bonus points as I can't stand using plastic) with minimalist labelling.
The oil was pleasant smelling. It was fast absorbing and was okay under make-up during the day as well as being a good night treatment oil.
The Hydrating Beauty Balm is a Beauty Shortlist winner 2017 and is suitable for vegans. It contains a blend of the usual suspects oil-wise (and some I haven't heard of!) plus essential oils and sea buckthorn. It is a golden, sweet smelling balm. I used it on patches of dry skin on my face and body and I also tried it as an oil cleanser with a hot cloth. It was a good moisturiser and left my face smooth after cleansing.
In summary: M Botanicals has a good range of award-winning face and body care. It is a little on the pricey side but it was nice to try products containing ingredients that I haven't come across before (illipe butter, pracaxi oil).

  1. Huge fan of the brand and the rose oud candle is gorgeous. I recently bought the sample size set of skincare as I'm a sucker for trial sizes.
