April Love Lula Picks

I picked some fabulous products from Love Lula this month.

BEN AND ANNA VANILLA ORCHID DEODORANT

A fairly new brand to Love Lula, Ben and Anna are a German couple who formulated this vegan deo in a paper tube. I love the packaging and the smell of this one is fabulous. I'm not all that keen on the method of application because, despite being a roll-on instead of faffing about rubbing it on with your fingers, it's fairly hard and if you don't stand there and wait for it to melt against your skin, it actually hurts to apply this. However, I suspect once summer comes, this will be a whole lot softer and easier to apply. I probably wouldn't use it in winter though.
And most importantly, does it work? The answer is yes. It's lasted through several challenging shifts at work and while there has been some wetness, I've not been stinky. Which is always a bonus.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter*, Maranta Arundinacea Root Powder*, Zea Mays Starch, Cocos Nucifera Oil*, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil*, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Helianthus Annuus Seed Cera, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Shorea Robusta Resin, Rhus Verniciflua Peel Cera, Vanilla Planifolia Bean Extract, Rhus Succedanea Fruit Cera, Citrus Reticulata Peel Oil, Limonene**, Vanillin, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Alcohol, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil*, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Linalool**, Benzyl Benzoate**, Benzyl Salicylate**, Farnesol**, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract*, Geraniol**, Daucus Carota Sativa Root Extract*, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract*

BEBAREFACED ROSE CLEANSER
Prior to this product, BeBarefaced haven't been on my radar, but I couldn't help noticing their cute bear packaging and their vegan status this month and thought I would try a cleanser. What really surprised me about this company is the quality of their ingredients, considering how budget-friendly their products are. The rose cleanser is £12.99 for 150ml and contains kukui oil, aloe vera, rosehip and plum oils amongst others. It's a creamy, delicately-scented wash and it leaves my skin so soft and refreshed. I've been using it as a second cleanse in the evening after my cleansing balm and on its own in the mornings and I absolutely love it. Full marks to BeBarefaced and I'll be checking out more of their products.

BALI BALM CINAMMON AND BURNT ORANGE VEGAN LIP BALM
Bali Balm are a company with strong environmental commitments. Their packaging is recyclable, they use no animal products or palm oil and they contribute to the local economy where their balms are produced in Bali.
The first thing you notice about this balm is the price - £20. The second thing you notice is the excess of packaging. It comes in a pretty box with tissue paper, inside a cardboard sleeve which is then wrapped in plastic. I love reusing packaging so I'll use the box for earrings, but I checked with the company who told me they plan to ditch the box and they're not happy with the plastic either.
Onto the balm itself. The ingredients are just divine and pure as pure can be. The scent and the taste are heavenly and the balm provides a high level of moisture. I have no hesitation recommending this gorgeous balm. It really is something special and out of the ordinary, so if you're looking for a serious treat for your lips, then this is it. But be warned, it'll be difficult to keep on your lips because you'll be licking it off 😊

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Candelilla Wax, Kukui Nut Oil, Sugarcane Extract, Orange Peel Oil, Cinnamon Cassia Oil, Peppermint Leaf Oil, Rosemary Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, Vanilla Fruit Extract.

THE ROSE TREE EYE SERUM

The Rose Tree is a luxury award-winning British company with a small range in lovely glass packaging. The eye serum comes in a really pretty pale blue glass bottle with a dropper for great application. As well as rose fruit oil and starflower, it contains arnica for its anti-inflammatory effects. It's a gentle, highly moisturising serum. I recommend it for night time use as I find it doesn't sink in too well around the eyes before make-up use but it's a wonderful rejuvenating treatment at night.

Ingredients: Rosa canina fruit oil, Borago officinalis seed oil, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus seed oil, Pelargonium graveolens leaf oil, Daucus carota sativa seed oil, Arnica montana flower oil, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract. Natural constituents of essential oils: Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalol, Citral
