June Empties - Balm Balm, Coconut King, Baby Boo Bamboo

Hmm, there's not a lot to show for this month. Other bloggers put me to shame. Perhaps I threw a few things away without realising. Anyway, without further ado.

I'll be honest, this product stinks. When I first squirted it on, I recoiled in horror. I hadn't used frankincense before and didn't know what to expect. But as I've said before, scent is different strokes for different folks. I saw another blogger describing the smell of this as gorgeous. Each to their own. So I steeled myself to use it anyway because I knew it would be good, regardless of the smell. And it was. Softening, hydrating and very refreshing. The frankincense range is not for me but I've already purchased a different toner from Balm Balm.

I reviewed this one a while ago (see here). I've only just finished it as I always have a lot of body products on the go but it's fair to say it's probably my favourite butter of the year. The CK is only a small company but deserves far more sales and recognition for creating this amazing product. It contains only 6 natural ingredients and is suitable for vegans. It's available in a variety of scents for only £9.99 with free postage here.

My childminder picked this up at Homesense for the bargain price of £2. Boo Bamboo are a cruelty-free, vegan, Canadian brand that do a wide variety of hair, skin and suncare, plus a baby range. At the time I received this, my son Z, had terrible dry skin and eczema. I used this as an all over moisturiser in conjunction with Balm Balm Baby Balm on the eczema and the results were amazing. It's a lovely, thick, silky cream that hydrates really well. I have been hunting for more and it seems impossible to buy in the UK without prohibitive shipping costs plus customs charges. I did email the company twice to ask about stockists but have had no reply. If anyone knows where I can get this, please let me know.

In summary, three fantastic products that I enjoyed immensely from three brands that I will purchase again and again.

  1. hahaha I love your honesty! I'm a fan of the frankincense range but know the scent is not for everyone.
