The March Love Lula Beauty Box

March's Love Lula box was top heavy on make-up which is always a bonus for me and was worth a cracking £70.

MADARA DEEP MOISTURE GEL
Madara are a familiar addition to the box and as their products are expensive, it does feel like a real treat when you get a full size of one of their offerings. Although the card says this is the deep moisture fluid (which would have been better suited to my skin), I actually received the gel, which is for oily skin. I wouldn't call my skin oily; it's dry but when wearing make-up I do get fairly shiny throughout the day so I was interested to see whether this would be helpful for me.
And it was. It's a great product! It really helps keep my complexion matt without drying it out, which I was worried about. I'd urge those with oily or combination skin to give it a go and see the difference it makes.

INIKA LIQUID EYELINER
It's always nice to add more Inika to my collection as they really are such quality. I haven't used a liquid eyeliner (except to go out) for quite a while. It used to be my staple every day and I was so good at applying it that it only took me moments in the morning. Then I went back to kohl, I don't know why and I seem to have got out of the knack because my first attempt with this was cack-handed to say the least. I can't blame Inika for this as the brush is really good and it's just the shape and size I like in a liquid eyeliner. However, the colour pay-off is rather difficult. The brush doesn't make an opaque line the first time; rather it's translucent and it needs multiple applications to get the line darker and bolder. Needless to say, that's asking for trouble with a liquid eyeliner, so sadly, the jury is out on this one. As I use it more, I hope to find it's my technique rather than trouble with the liquid, but I'm not convinced this one is for me. It's out of stock at LL at the time of writing.

HURRAW! LIME LIP BALM
I love lip balms and I love Hurraw! so I was thrilled to get this vegan, zingy, zesty splendid offering. You can never have enough lip balms as mine are always going missing and I like to keep them in a variety of places so they are always to hand. A wonderful balm and Leaping Bunny approved together with being COSMOS certified. It's sadly out of stock at LL at the time of writing.

SARYA COUTURE MAKE-UP EYESHADOW IN MOCHA
After I'd swatched and photographed this dark brown eyeshadow, I realised from the ingredients list that it actually contains carmine, which is a major no-no for me. I don't expect any animal to die for my beauty and that includes a beetle. It's such a shame because vegan companies have proved you don't need carmine for great colours, so I don't know why it is still used. The shadow feels velvety soft for those who are interested in the quality and the packaging is nice.

ZUUI ORGANIC SAMPLE SET
I was intrigued by this lovely set. Sadly, I gave the sachets to a willing user as I don't self-tan and would look pretty silly now if I slapped a sachet on my pasty face and body. For dedicated users though, the introduction of this brand must be heaven. It's so nice to see more and more products which were previously a province of mainstream beauty only being added to the natural, cruelty-free market.
Zuui are COSMOS certified organic, vegan and made in Australia. (Australian green products are generally pretty fabulous!)
