December Love Lula Picks

My last picks of 2018 from Love Lula were some crackers (no pun intended).

KATHLEEN ROLL-ON OIL SET CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

Beautifully wrapped in a ribboned-box and then individually wrapped in red and green tissue paper (I reused the ribbon and paper for Christmas presents), Kathleen's three limited edition oils are a festive treat for the senses.

There's Tranquil Fields, which I have already tried in Kathleen's body oil, Citrus Cheer and Sensual Rose, which featured in the Love Lula box this month in the bath and shower gel.

All three scents are so nice, it's hard to pick a favourite. Citrus Cheer, with lemon, geranium and rosewood is uplifting and crisp as as its name suggests. I'm a big fan of citrus scents so this is a winner for me. The Sensual Rose has notes of orange, rose and nutmeg and I'm really enjoying using the corresponding shower gel. And finally, Tranquil Fields is calming and relaxing with notes of lavender, frankincense and vanilla. The one I've been using the most is the Sensual Rose, but they all have their place depending on your mood!
The scents don't last an awful long time, but the glass roll-on bottles are small and portable, very handy for topping up. A beautiful gift or to treat yourself.

RMS BEAUTY MOD COLLECTION

The first thing I have to say about this collection is it's great for those who want to try four different things without committing to a full-sized product and each section is a good size. The second thing is if you want a full-on bold party look, this is probably not for you, as the palette is nothing if not subtle.

Firstly, there's the master mixer, a gorgeous shimmery copper highlighter. However, I struggled to make an impression on my cheeks with this and wonder if it would look better on darker skin. The white is the living luminizer, a lovely shiny shade, just perfect for highlighting all over the face. I used it on my cheeks, eyes, nose and cupid's bow. It's subtle but you can increase its power by applying more and it's my favourite of the four.
The pink and brown shades are lip and cheek products. The pink is very subtle on cheeks and I didn't try the brown on my cheeks as it was not my shade. However, I used both in a variety of ways on my lips - over lipstick, over gloss, mixed together or on their own and I really liked the results I got. They're both very nice.
Finally, there's the balm, which I wasn't a huge fan of. It was fairly runny and melty but okay under lipstick.
I enjoyed this palette and found it so versatile to create different looks. It would make a great present for the make-up lover.

CRAZY RUMORS LIP BALMS

I thought I would venture into Crazy Rumors as I have heard good things. My favourite lip balms up until now have been Hurraw, more precisely their cinnamon. But I am mourning the fact that it seems to have been discontinued. So I wanted another tinted one and lo and behold, CR's hibiskiss range fell at my feet (or maybe fingers).

All hail Crazy Rumors!!! 😘😘😘 I have no words to do the majesty of the Coral Hibiskiss justice. Firstly, it is almost the exact same colour as my favourite lipstick, Inika's Naked Kiss. Secondly, it is tinted like no other. What witchcraft is this? You could just wear it as lipstick, honestly. £4 v £20+!! 😝 Apart from all this, needless to say it works like a dream. My new favourite! I am smitten.

To go with the Hibiskiss, I chose two festive flavours, gingerbread and pumpkin spice (festive if you think it's still Halloween, I suppose, but it sounded fabulous to me). I love these types of flavours and I wasn't disappointed. Both taste sweet and edible and moisturise fantastically. There's really nothing more I can say about this range apart from:
