About Me

"Animals on this earth are not disposable" - Professor Noel Fitzpatrick

I am a mother, a nurse and a book-worm. I own two naughty cats. I am an animal lover who hasn't eaten meat for 30+ years and I follow a mainly vegan diet since 2018. My heroes are Chris Packham, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and Wonder Woman.

In late 2016, I discovered that all the brands I thought were cruelty-free, were actually testing on animals in China. When I started to research cruelty-free brands, the world of natural skin care opened up to me. I began to read about the chemicals I had been putting on my face and body and consequently, my love of all things beauty was renewed and revitalised. My job became clear - to spread the word about natural, cruelty-free beauty, to promote those brands who deserve it and make green products not niche, or weird, but mainstream and for everyone.

I love to review products from small UK companies who handmake their wares and use recyclable packaging and organic, vegan ingredients. These are my favourite types of skin care.

As well as reviewing products for myself, my son's skin will also be getting a starring role. He suffers from eczema as do I, and I aim to review baby skin care as well as adult.

Everyone should make the right choice when picking beauty products. Know what you are putting on your face, know where it came from. I hope that my reviews will enable you to make a good decision. No animal should suffer for the sake of our skin and in this day and age, no animal needs to. Animal testing is antiquated and barbaric and has to stop. Animals have as much right to life as we do. They are part of our planet and we should cherish and protect them as we would our children.

Along with skin care, I will be reviewing books, yummy snacks and whatever else takes my fancy.
