The April Love Lula Beauty Box

This month's Love Lula box was a joyous feast of spring skin care.

GALLINEE BODY MILK

 I absolutely love receiving body care products in beauty boxes. Gallinee's wares contain prebiotics, probiotics and lactic acid to support skin's good bacteria. This body milk is for the most sensitive skins including dry and atopy-prone skin which is me right there. While I'm not sure about Gallinee's ingredients (only 94% natural), the most important thing for me and readers of this blog is that this brand is cruelty-free and vegan. As such, I was happy to try this and frankly, my skin needs all the help it can get. It's great. Really, really great. The morning after I first used it, my skin felt so soft and velvety. The two patches of eczema (up one from last month) I currently have were less inflamed and itchy and this trend has continued the more I've used this. Well worth a buy.

GLOSSWORKS NAIL POLISH IN RASPBERRY PARADE

 Glossworks are a great vegan brand with a lovely range of colours and I was really thrilled to see the new shades for spring on Love Lula this week with orange, lilac and pale blue as well as this one. I think I might be reviewing one of those shortly 😊 While bright pink wouldn't normally be my first choice, this is a really nice spring or summer shade and looked great on. Another winner for Glossworks.

 I've used both these before in sample sizes and they were a welcome addition to the box. Kimberly Sayer is a great range and leaves my skin feeling really nice.

DR. BOTANICALS LEMON SUPERFOOD RESCUE BUTTER

The stand out product in this month's box for me. Just the mention of lemon has me excited. I love lemons. I love them in my food and in my skin care. I love seeing lemon trees when I go abroad. I bought a lemon tree last year and it died because I'm crap. I did get two miniature lovely lemons off it though.
I digress. Dr. Botanicals has been featured fairly heavily in the beauty box since they started at LL and I've liked all their stuff. I wouldn't say they were up there with the most natural, but this one's not bad at all. It's a beautiful thick lotion that sinks into the skin and leaves it well moisturised. My worst patch of eczema was around 50% healed when I started using this and the butter has continued to heal it, with minimal itching. I've also been using it on a second patch of eczema with good results. A very, very good product and one I would highly recommend for dry skin. And I would buy this just for the smell! 😍

ALTEYA ORGANICS CHAMOMILE WATER

This isn't the first chamomile water I've tried and when I saw it, I was sad, because I love Alteya so much but I know that I can't tolerate the smell of chamomile. Like all Alteya's stuff it's a wonderful product too, so pure and healing and perfect for dry and problem skin. Sadly though, I will have to pass it on to a fellow natural beauty lover.
