The December Love Lula Box

The last Love Lula box of 2018 was a superb collection of cruelty-free beauty.

SEASCAPE ISLAND APOTHECARY REFRESH HAND AND NAIL CREAM

This is the first time I've tried Seascape, as I'm not massively keen on their ingredients. Users should note that it's worth shaking the tube and opening it upright as one moment I'm watching Jeremy Clarkson racing a Bugatti in Switzerland, the next my dressing-gown is covered in hand cream 😆 That aside, the cream has a lovely citrus scent and sinks in really well. I usually use hand creams at night as I hate the feel of creams on my hands when I'm trying to do a task but this one is non-greasy and really good for day time. I'd say it isn't suitable for intensive use on severely chapped hands, as it's quite thin, but for every day maintenance, it's great. This one contains beeswax.

KATHLEEN NATURAL SENSUAL ROSE BATH AND SHOWER GEL

 Another winning inclusion from Kathleen. This is the fourth product of theirs I've tried and I've loved them all. What a gorgeous brand. The LL box has previously featured the Tranquil Fields body oil and the Tonifying Mist (is that a word? I don't think so) and this month I've also reviewed Kathleen's limited edition roll-on perfumes. (Read here).

The scent of this one is rose, orange and nutmeg, to give a delightful, festive aroma. It's a thick gel that lathers and leaves the skin soft and smelling great. Another wonderful product. I can't sing the praises of this brand highly enough!

HAIRY JAYNE FLORAL HAIR PERFUME

I'd been eyeing this hair perfume only the week before the LL box arrived so I was thrilled at its inclusion. Hairy Jayne make vegan hair products for dry hair. This multi-tasker is a heat protector and perfume as well as calming frizz and adding shine. With geranium, bergamot and vanilla, the floral scent is really nice. I've been using it before blow-drying and before using straighteners between washes and I've enjoyed it. I can't comment if my hair smells nice as it's very short so I can't sniff it, but I'm presuming it does!

GLOSSWORKS NAIL POLISH IN SILVER BULLET AND RUBY ON NAILS

I'm an absolute nail polish fiend so I was overjoyed to get these two Christmasy shades in the box. Silver Bullet is my favourite as I just adore metallic colours and it's a really bright, intense silver, but I've tried them both and they're both gorgeous although a top coat is highly advised as they chip really easily.

Unflattering hand shot. My skin looks like a sharpei's.
