INIKA PERFECTION CONCEALER
I'm developing a real fondness for Inika after discovering the brand recently, so I was keen to try this, which was my first natural concealer (shocking I know). Firstly, the tube is huge for a concealer and will last ages. Secondly, the colour is absolutely perfect and pasty for me. You have to blend it thoroughly and quickly and it's good coverage, although my complexion is okay at the moment, so I can't comment on whether it's up to the job of heavy-duty stuff or not. Overall, I'm very happy and I'd buy it again.

INIKA VEGAN LIPSTICK IN AFTER DARK
Ah, the perils of getting lipstick online. 😏 Just recently it seems that every lipstick I look at is a totally different colour in the flesh. I wanted to try a natural red lipstick and I chose this as it looked red in the picture plus in other swatches I checked. I also thought the name After Dark implied it was red (silly I know). Anyway, it's not red, it's an orange-brown. Despite this, I've had a game go of it, particularly as I love Inika's lipsticks, they smell divine. This isn't a colour I've tried before but actually, I do like it on. It's so bright and colour-dense, I can't get over it. I never expected to get such colour from an organic lipstick with no carmine or other horribleness.
I'm still using this and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to make a statement. Another win for Inika.

ALTEYA BULGARIAN WHITE ROSE WATER SPRAY
I'm starting to love rose water since I've tried other brands and Alteya Organics caught my eye when they launched at Love Lula, probably because I visited their website and saw all their lovely pictures of roses and lost myself in the descriptions of Rose Valley in Bulgaria, a place I would love to visit! I love roses so much so I couldn't wait to try this. And I chose the white rose water as I haven't heard of this before. Of course it's utterly gorgeous. I spray generously on my face as a toner morning and night and I've also used it as a body spray. The bottle's huge and really reasonably priced considering the rose alba is one of the rarest oil-bearing roses.
There's a huge list of wonderful properties of rose alba at LL's product page which should persuade you to try it, even if my gushing review hasn't. 😛 Anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, acne-preventing amongst other things and you can use it in food and drink too!
One last thing, I do think something so lovely should be in a dark glass bottle rather than plastic, but that's my only niggle. I keep it in the outer box to prevent sunlight getting to it. Alteya do actually make their rose water in glass bottles as well as plastic, but they are more expensive, which I don't think is necessarily fair.
Alteya also do other flower waters, such as lavender, melissa and chamomile and many other skin care products containing roses. I hope LL will expand their line to stock Alteya's baby products too.
Ingredients: 100% Pure organic steam-distilled Rosa Alba
water.

**The pictures show an Alchemy Oils travel size but I ended up gifting this to a friend as I realised I had previously bought this myself. I will review it in the future.
This concealer sounds great as I always struggle to find pale shades that aren't orange! Is it quite a drying formula? x
ReplyDeleteI find it feels quite dry when I'm trying to blend, but it seems to last well and not look too cakey.
DeleteEvery Alteya Organics product I try I love! The rosewater is divine.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the rest of the range!
