Review: February Love Lula Beauty Box

This month's box was a skin care corker with three full sizes.

MADARA EXFOLIATING OIL-TO-MILK SCRUB

The Love Lula box has been top-heavy on Madara products recently. I tried out this scrub after cleansing. I'm not sure about the oil to milk bit as it doesn't have the texture of oil when you put it on. However, it does become milky with scrubbing and it's fairly coarse to make for a good scrub but not too harsh. It left my skin feeling really velvety and it's going to be a lovely treat for me twice a week.
This isn't suitable for vegans as it contains beeswax and it also has palm oil derivatives, for those looking to avoid these.

OOH OILS OF HEAVEN AVOCADO FACE OIL
I love a facial oil and avocado oil is new to me although I've tried a few Oils of Heaven before and really like them all. Made from the pulp, it's full of omega-3 and vitamins A, D and E and is suitable for fine lines, wrinkles and stretchmarks. I'll be honest, it's not the nicest smelling oil in the world but I've tested smelly things before (chamomile hydrosol from Balm Balm come on down! 😋) and I've persevered, knowing that such things are good for me (like sprouts). Besides the smell, it's well-absorbed under make-up and good at night too and a welcome addition to my ever-growing facial oil collection.

Ingredients: 100% Persea Gratissima Oil

 URBAN VEDA HYDRATING TONER

I tend to avoid Urban Veda products as they are not natural enough for me. I did try this though and it's a really nice toner. I like the smell of the radiance range, it's quite spicy yet soothing and this leaves the skin soft and ready to be moisturised.

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Terminalia Arjuna Bark Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Lycium Chinense (Goji berry) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pogostemom Cablin (Patchouli) Oil, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Seed Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark (Cedar) Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower (Marigold) Oil, Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Sodium Phytate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Alpha-isomethyl Ionone

PURE AND LIGHT ESSENTIAL FACE CREAM

This was the only brand in the box I haven't tried before. This award-winning bad boy boasts a hefty 27 certified organic ingredients and looks to be suitable for any skin problem at all you might have. What a lovely cream it was. Thick and nicely scented, it did well under make-up and also at night. Pure and Light are cruelty-free and vegan and their product catalogue frankly makes my mouth water.
