Review: The June Love Lula Beauty Box

Here's a review of June's lovely Love Lula Beauty Box

JOIK REFRESHING FACIAL TONER
I prefer a toner you can spray, to avoid using cotton wool, however, this is a really nice minty smelling toner. The oil separates in the bottle, giving it a lovely appearance! Give it a good shake before use. I found it soothing and cooling and good for both night and day.

Ingredients: aqua, helianthus annuus seed oil, hippophae rhamnoides, aloe barbadensis juice, sodium levulinate, sodium benzoate, citrus paradisi peel oil, mentha piperita leaf oil, juniperus communis fruit oil, linalool*, citral*, limonene* * components of natural essential oils

L'ODAITES POLYPHENOL EXFOLIATOR

A new-to-me brand from Love Lula, L'Odaites are a French company and the first I have seen harnessing the power of dates which are apparently anti-ageing, regenerating and protect the water in the epidermis.
The scrub itself is fairly runny, hence the little stick that comes with it for application. It's also not very grainy although I didn't mind too much as very coarse scrubs can be a bit painful for me. It was definitely different from other scrubs in these two respects but that's not to say it's not effective. I really liked it. It was easy to wash off afterwards, without lots of little grains hanging around and it left my skin very smooth. A winning brand!
N.B. the scrub contains honey.

Ingredients: HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, GLYCERIN, PHOENIX DACTYLIFERA (DATES) FRUIT POWDER, PHOENIX DACTYLIFERA (DATES) FRUIT EXTRACT, ALOE BARBADENSIS (LEAF JUICE) GEL, MEL (HONEY), OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) LEAF EXTRACT, SUCROSE LAURATE, TOCOPHEROL, ASCORBIC ACID, AMMONIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYLTAURATE/VP COPOLYMER, SODIUM LEVULINATE, SODIUM ANISATE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), CITRIC ACID, AQUA.

WALDEN PERFUMES SEE THE MOONLIGHT
This 10ml offering of See the Moonlight is a new fragrance from natural Walden perfumes. Their description of it is better than I can do, so:
"See the Moonlight is an intoxicating chypre fragrance that opens with fresh bergamot followed by a heart of jasmine and hints of rose. The finish is luxurious sandalwood and exotic ambrette seed."
I've found all the Walden perfumes acquired tastes. This one's no exception. I get the smell of jasmine strongly from it, which I like. Like other natural perfumes, it doesn't last that long but it's a pleasant summer perfume and would be great for holiday evenings.

Ingredients: Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil, Jasminum Sambac Flower Extract, Santalum Album Oil, Myrocarpus Frondosus Wood Oil, Iris Pallida Root Oil, Evernia Prunastri Extract, Cistus Ladaniferus Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Leaf Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Hibiscus Abelmoschus Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Flower Oil *Benzyl Benzoate, *Eugenol, *Treemoss Extract, *d-Limonene, *Citral, *Citronellol, *Geraniol, *Farnesol, *Linalol

REN NOW TO SLEEP PILLOW SPRAY
I don't usually look at REN products as they are owned by the devil that is Unilever, but I am a bit of a sucker for pillow sprays and the like as I need all the help I can get in the relaxation and sleep department.
This one's really nice. It smells good, like lavender, and it's nice to inhale on the pillow as you drift off to sleep. I've got it on my bedside table to remind me to put it on last thing at night.
The product isn't on the LL website at the moment, so it must be sold out after a rush from Beauty Box subscribers 😀

JOIK SWEET ORANGE AND MINT BODY BUTTER
A small amount to make a judgement on (it did one calf!) and it didn't smell quite right to me, like it had gone off, so LL plan to send me another, which I hadn't received at the time of writing, so I'll review it next month.

I've also got one owing review from my LL picks in April here

The Pure Chimp Super Tea Lemon Matcha Green Tea was not to my taste, so I passed it on to a green tea-loving friend, Danielle. She told me "it felt a bit weird just adding water and not having a tea bag or loose tea leaves. It looks very murky and green, but it is surprisingly nice!"
