The August Natural Beauty Box

The theme for August's Natural Beauty Box was Quench and Glow with 6 gorgeous cruelty-free, natural and vegan products to enhance your skin routine.

NAKIN ADVANCED CLEANSING MILK
I'm aware of this brand, having tried their lip balm. This was a fortuitous inclusion as I had just finished my previous cleansing milk literally on the day this box arrived. I was really pleased to try this as I just love cleansing products.
It's a white milk which sometimes needs a shake as it can separate in the bottle. It's got a gentle fragrance and nice ingredients (although only 98% natural and not organic) and contains seaweed extract, pomegranate and sodium hyaluronate.
I use this by massaging it onto my dry face morning and night (at night after cleansing with a balm) and removing with a warm muslin. I have to say, I absolutely love this. It leaves my skin so soft and velvety and clean. It's a total winner and I'd love to try more from the range. Finally, let me mention that Nakin are Leaping Bunny approved and their website offers free delivery!

BESPOKE AROMA UPLIFTING BATH TEA INFUSION
Bespoke Aroma's products are always welcome. This one's a clever invention as you can use the bag as a little wash cloth when you are in the bath. It also smells really citrusy and stimulating and is no doubt a fantastic pick me up.
However, bath products are wasted on me, because they're just not my er, cup of tea. I just don't like baths and I wish I did because of the beautiful products out there. In the past, I've forced myself to take a bath in order to review products, but I can do better than that now and I've handed over this bag to my beauty buddy Julie to review, as she is a bath product fiend. She will give this the love and attention it deserves and when she's done, I'll provide an update to this post with her views.
*Update*
This is what Julie had to say:

"When my box buddy Rebecca offered me the chance to try the Bespoke Aroma Uplifting Bath Tea bag, I’m surprised you didn't heard me squeal with delight as she knows how much of a bath fiend I am! I’ve tried every bath product going but a bath tea infusion was a new one on me. Before I even opened the packet, the smell of peppermint and lemon grabbed my attention straight away. Into the bath it went and the smell in the bathroom was amazing before I even had the bath. It lived up to my expectations with the peppermint helping clear my head and the lemon leaving me feeling refreshed and with the oats, it left my skin silky soft. It is certainly a product I would repurchase as a treat as it was a little bit of luxury for bath time ️"

BESPOKE AROMA PEPPERMINT FACIAL MIST
It's not often there's something in the Natural Beauty Box that I've tried before, but I had the pleasure of reviewing this one here. It was my absolute staple during the summer and I'm still using it to refresh my face during a long day at work. I was thrilled to get another bottle of this.

Ingredients: Menthe piperita (peppermint) organic water and essential oil

BUFF NUIT SEA SALT BODY SCRUB
"A richly moisturising scrub/soak with our Evening Blend of Essential Oils of uplifting Bergamot, warming Ginger, stress relieving Palma Rosa, deeply relaxing Patchouli and Cedarwood."

Buff are a new to me brand specialising in scrubs, oils and candles. This is a quite an unusual scrub for me in that the same ingredients tend to crop up in a lot of scrubs and this is a different take on it, especially as I've not noticed night time scrubs on the market. It's not massively scrubby in that there's more liquid in it than salt, although you can put it in the fridge to firm it up if you so desire. I chose not to and left it in its fairly melted capacity. It was quite a revelation. The base of this scrub is hugely moisturising. It leaves a very scented, oily coating on the skin that feels just divine. The oil mixture used is really strong and yes, really relaxing (even without lavender which I thought was de rigueur for any night time product!).

This was a massive hit for me, I just wish the contents didn't settle (melt) as much, hence leaving you with half a jar.

CHOBS COLLAGEN FACE MASK
I used the aloe vera version of this mask in summer and found it very refreshing and cooling on a hot evening. I'm not a huge fan of sheet masks and prefer something out of a jar if I'm honest. I used this one in the evening too but unfortunately, it was a chilly night and applying this just made me shiver for the duration of the application, doh. So my advice would be to use it in summer or when you've got the heating cranked up or perhaps in a hot bath! Regarding its effectiveness though, CHOBS masks leave my skin really soft and smooth. In fact, my lines had gone after this and I looked 18 again 😊 Recommended for the sheet mask aficionado.

DIVINE AND HANDMADE HAZELNUT OIL
Obviously a Quench and Glow box would not be complete without a  face oil and this one was a surprise that I haven't had the pleasure of trying before. Hazelnut oil contains vitamins A, B, D and E and is apparently good on oily and acne prone skin. I've really enjoyed using this oil, it ranks up there with my current favourite, hemp. What I like most about it is how light it is and how it sinks in so well before make-up when I've got little time in the morning. My face also looks clearer (although that might be due to being mid-cycle when any blemishes are a week or so away) and I'd like to see if this continues with a longer trial of this. A great inclusion!

TWELVE BEAUTY IDEAL MOISTURE LEVEL SERUM AND BRIGHTENING CORRECTIVE SERUM
Added to the box were these two samples. It's fair to say I reeled back in shock at the prices on Twelve Beauty's website. Another reason why beauty boxes are great as I get to try stuff I'd never be able to buy! Their ingredients look great though, the company the brain child of Pedro, a highly qualified pharmacist. I really liked them both. Out of the two, my favourite was the brightening serum because my skin really did look brighter when I put it on. I'd love to try it again.
